My friend Marie-Eve made me discover the Dear Creatures brand, she said: That’s all Zooey Deschanel wears! Well, the new divorcée does have great taste, I must say. Dear Creatures is the labor of love from Bianca Benitez and Rob Sinclair, a strong partnership that results in a classic style, original cuts and timeless creations. I found a great interview with them on the Corridor40 website, published last January, where I learned that they met in Las Vegas, in a casino, at 3AM in the morning. That’s pretty funny, for the rest of the fun, go read the interview!
Uncle James loves their designs! I had featured one of their coats in a previous post, here’s more looks from their Fall 2011 collection that is currently on sale on their website and online (Modcloth, 80spurple). Canadians, don’t try to buy from the online shop of their website, the fees for shipping comes up to almost 80$! I wrote them about it and I’ve got a quick reply telling me they didn’t have any power over it, since they are working with a third-party to take care of the shop. That’s too bad, cause there’s great pieces half percent off on their site that you will find at regular price in the other online shops.
Hey – we can FaceTime in 2011 but we still have to pay gazzillion dollars to ship a dress! Oh well!
