Uncle James loves Dandy’s
Another post straight out of Austin, Texas. While I was hanging out at SXSW, I stopped by the Style X event happening at the Convention Center. For us, Montrealers, Style X to SXSW is what Puce Pop is to Pop Montreal. Not much catched my attention in there but there was one stand that was totally out of sight: Dandy’s. Offering tailored and custom made suits, Dandy’s is not your everyday Moore’s, that’s for sure!
We offer quality garb to fulfill any proper gentleman’s fancy, from the late 1800s thru The Gatsby Era. A bespoke suit, a hat, or a sharp pair of shoes looks right smart and a gentleman isn’t proper until he tops it all off with a handmade or vintage bow tie, a pipe in his hand and a flask in his boot.
The booth was filled with amazing pocket watches, handmade bow ties, handmade wallets and suit display, all in thick retro fabrics that reminded me of Seth and Al in the stunning series Deadwood.
You can order online and they have soooo much more amazing things; Beehive hats, Derby hats, mustache wax, antique razors, suspenders, waterfall ties, bespoke vests and more. If you have a soft spot for vintage wear, you will love this shop!
